Common Questions
What counts as an "image scan"?
Each unique image sent to the /analyze or /analyze-mask endpoint counts as one scan. Re-analysis of the same image (same bytes) within 24 hours is cached and does not count against your quota.
Can I trial Enterprise features before committing?
Yes. All plans come with a 14-day free trial that includes 200 free scans. Enterprise trials extend to 30 days with full feature access. No credit card required to start.
What image formats are supported?
PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, and WebP up to 50 MB per file. Microscopy formats (OME-TIFF, CZI via conversion) are available on Professional and Enterprise plans.
Is the underlying model auditable?
Enterprise customers receive full model documentation: architecture specs, training dataset provenance, cross-validation curves, and inference pipeline details — suitable for regulatory submission packages.
How accurate is the forgery detector?
The production model achieves a cross-validated Dice score of 0.4654 on our held-out benchmark (5-fold, test-time augmentation, ensemble). This measures pixel-level forgery localization accuracy, not just binary classification.
Can BioForgeNet be integrated into our existing submission portal?
Yes. Enterprise plans include a connector SDK and webhook infrastructure. We have pre-built integrations for ScholarOne, Editorial Manager, and ELN systems. Custom connectors are scoped during onboarding.
Where is my data stored?
Uploaded images are processed in-memory and not persisted on our infrastructure by default. Professional and Enterprise customers can configure encrypted cloud storage for audit trail retention with configurable retention windows.
What happens if I exceed my scan quota?
We notify you at 80% and 95% of your monthly quota. At 100%, you can either top up with an Extra Scan Pack or wait for the next billing cycle. We never silently reject images or charge surprise overages.
